We have set the price for most of our services at $5 because we believe that is a fair price for the value that we are providing. We could charge more, but our primary goal is to help drive crypto adoption, which means keeping things simple and affordable for users. While we reserve the right to raise our prices in the future as our costs rise, at this time we feel that $5 is a very fair price for the service we are providing. We are focused on what we can do for our users, not what our users can do for us.

Security is our utmost concern, and we need your cooperation to keep your account as secure as possible. In addition to the precautions that we build into our service, there are additional things you can do to make sure you are protected, including:

  1. Protect your CoinDaddy account with two-factor authentication, and choose strong passwords for your login and payment passwords.
  2. If you use our API, take great care to protect your secret key.
  3. Use two-factor authentication on your email account associated with CoinDaddy.
  4. Use a different password for all your online accounts, and make sure these passwords are strong. Password managers such as 1Password can help you create and store your passwords securely.
  5. Do not log on to CoinDaddy using public or shared computers, or any computer you do not control and trust.
  6. Use the anti-virus software and Trojan scanning software to scan your computer periodically, and update your trusted computer software regularly.
  7. If you lose your two-factor device, reset your two-factor authentication as soon as possible.
  8. Be careful of phishing scams. We will never send you an email asking for your password.

Adding existing assets to your account is a simple process. You just need to verify that you own the asset via a proof-of-ownership deposit. Here are the step you can follow to add assets you already own to your account.

  1. Register for an account at the registration page.
  2. Verify your email address.
  3. Login to your account.
  4. Click the "My Addresses" link on the myaccount page.
  5. Enter your address that owns your assets.
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions that tell you to make a small proof-of-ownership deposit from your address to our verification address.
  7. Once proof-of-ownership deposit hits the blockchain, your ownership will be verified and your assets will be added to your account.
  8. Your assets should now be listed in the "My Assets" section of your account.

A Proof-of-Ownership deposit is a way for users to verify that they own a particular wallet address, and any assets associated with that wallet address. When someone comes to CoinDaddy and tells us that they own a wallet address, we don't just take their word for it, we make them prove it.

Users are able to proove their ownership of an address and assets by making a small deposit from the address they say they own to a CoinDaddy address. CoinDaddy watches the address for the proof-of-ownership deposit and once a valid deposit is detected, we notify the user that the address is now validated, and any assets owned by the wallet address will be automatically added to the user's CoinDaddy account.
